With an all-out effort, NinjaSkrtels's Jonathan Mellon threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Noel Fowler, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Noel Fowler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ashwell City's zone, Johnny Swift stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Mellon came out of the goal and Johnny Swift tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruben Fry might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stephen Stamer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruben Fry ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruben Fry stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ruben Fry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Stephen Stamer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stephen Stamer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ruben Fry showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 83 minute of play. Ted Goodman kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The NinjaSkrtels supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ashwell City's performance. The match ended with a win for Ashwell City.
