Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when John-Paul Scorfield made the kick off which started today's match. Jake Bean stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Den Burley's shot from short distance in the 2nd minute. Liam Ridsdale struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Jake Bean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Houghton Regis City. Liam Ridsdale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jake Bean having to interfere. Chris Mansell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John-Paul Scorfield in the 15th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Houghton Regis City's zone, Rufus Mason stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chris Mansell came out of the goal and Rufus Mason tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John-Paul Scorfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Mansell having to interfere. Rufus Mason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Chris Mansell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, John-Paul Scorfield left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Camberley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alastair Branston in the 30th minute of play forced Houghton Regis City's goalkeeper Chris Mansell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that John-Paul Scorfield's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chris Mansell was relentless in the 37th minute of the game.

In the 52nd minute, Ronnie Stonehouse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th match minute, Camberley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alastair Branston to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Den Burley in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jake Bean saved Camberley from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Den Burley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jake Bean was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. John-Paul Scorfield's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chris Mansell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Houghton Regis City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Owen Stamp to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Houghton Regis City's Chris Mansell got control of the ball when Rufus Mason tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Den Burley in the 75th minute of play forced Camberley's goalkeeper Jake Bean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the game, John-Paul Scorfield recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Chris Mansell. John-Paul Scorfield showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Houghton Regis City's Niall Radcliffe got a free kick in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the match, Camberley's Rueben Hunter broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jake Bean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liam Ridsdale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute of the match, John-Paul Scorfield tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Chris Mansell saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Camberley walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
