Spectators: 5600 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) 3 minutes into the game, Edward Higgins lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Pat Willoughby. 10 minutes into the match, Leonel fc's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Hackney came free, but Mike Ainge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sean Hackney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Sean Hackney ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mike Ainge was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The INVASION fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when INVASION's Gez Adams looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 29 minutes into the match, Sean Hackney notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Leonel fc's Mike Ainge. Mike Ainge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Warren Longthorn during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mike Ainge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gez Adams in the 36th minute of the match. Gez Adams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Mike Ainge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Sean Hackney sped through Leonel fc's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mike Ainge. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

INVASION's Pat Willoughby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Huckerby in the 54th minute of play. Mike Ainge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gez Adams in the 56th minute. Sean Hackney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Ainge having to interfere. In the 59th match minute, Leonel fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alastair Armitage to maneuver through the defense. If Sean Hackney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gez Adams blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mike Ainge having to make a save. 63 minutes into the game, Nial Love was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leonel fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INVASION the free kick. In the 65th match minute, Leonel fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nial Love to maneuver through the defense. Gez Adams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Leonel fc's goalkeeper Mike Ainge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gez Adams. INVASION's Sean Hackney managed to work through Leonel fc's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Sean Hackney dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When Gez Adams came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the INVASION fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gez Adams couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute Sean Hackney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Ainge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Leonel fc getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Abraham Steel hit a great ball. If Warren Longthorn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Leonel fc's zone, Sean Hackney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mike Ainge came out of the goal and Sean Hackney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th match minute, Leonel fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abraham Steel to maneuver through the defense. Garth Sheldon charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Garth Sheldon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to INVASION getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Garth Sheldon hit a great ball. Brandon Stonehouse hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Leonel fc's zone, Gez Adams stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mike Ainge came out of the goal and Gez Adams tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
