Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nicholas Woodward was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Matthew Mansell showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Nicholas Woodward took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthew Mansell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Wallasey City's Nicholas Woodward threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Matthew Mansell, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nicholas Woodward showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthew Mansell, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Matthew Mansell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nicholas Woodward tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricky Walsh kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Kyle Scholey came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Wirral FC's Ashley Sparks. But to his dismay, Ashley Sparks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Adrian Corrigan hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Wirral FC's goalkeeper Nicholas Woodward had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ian Cheetham. Stephen Holt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Kyle Scholey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Wallasey City got a freekick which was hit by Jack Clare. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ashley Sparks to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Matthew Mansell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Woodward saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthew Mansell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Wallasey City's Ian Cheetham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicholas Woodward made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Ashley Sparks struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Kyle Scholey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wirral FC. 67 minutes into the match, Wirral FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Mansell came free, but Nicholas Woodward reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lewis Kendall succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-2 in the 70th playminute. The audience was convinced that Ashley Sparks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kyle Scholey was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 88th minute, Lewis Kendall ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kyle Scholey was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. Nicholas Woodward made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthew Mansell in the 93rd minute of play. Matthew Mansell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Woodward having to interfere. If Ashley Sparks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Wallasey City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Wirral FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
