Spectators: 5600 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Matthew Mansell started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute, Ian Cheetham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wallasey City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Danny Short's late challenge caught a Leonel fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danny Short helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes Wallasey City got a freekick which was hit by Danny Short. A collision led to Wallasey City getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Reggie Phimister hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Edward Higgins took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Kyle Scholey to make any attempt to save it. Rupert Grayson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mike Ainge. Leonel fc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nick Huckerby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Scholey having to interfere. The supporters of Leonel fc booed when Wallasey City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Clare didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matthew Mansell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 23 minutes, Abraham Steel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leonel fc and the Wallasey City players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Wallasey City booed when Leonel fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Steel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Reggie Phimister sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Leonel fc's Mike Ainge didn't even have to move. 27 minutes into the game, Matthew Mansell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Mike Ainge was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Matthew Mansell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Leonel fc's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Mansell came free, but Mike Ainge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mike Ainge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Cheetham in the 41st minute of the match. Matthew Mansell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Mike Ainge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edward Higgins was the one to do the kick off. If Danny Short had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danny Short kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When Edward Higgins fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leonel fc's protests and gave Edward Higgins a yellow card for diving instead. Edward Higgins hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When Matthew Mansell came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Wallasey City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthew Mansell couldn't finish the play. Mike Ainge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Cheetham in the 77th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Leonel fc's zone, Matthew Mansell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mike Ainge came out of the goal and Matthew Mansell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian Cheetham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mike Ainge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matthew Mansell in the 86th minute. The supporters of Wallasey City booed when Leonel fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nial Love didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ian Cheetham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 98thth minute of the game Matthew Mansell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leonel fc's Mike Ainge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
