Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Edward Higgins started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Edward Higgins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Pat Willoughby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10thth minute of the game Nick Huckerby who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INVASION's Pat Willoughby was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gez Adams might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mike Ainge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gez Adams ran back to his position shaking his head. Mike Ainge stood somewhat misplaced when Sean Hackney came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 14 minute. Stevie Cryer hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Pat Willoughby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Higgins, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Huckerby in the 24th minute of play forced INVASION's goalkeeper Pat Willoughby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 played minutes, Leonel fc's Teddy Laverack shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pat Willoughby came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leonel fc reached it. After 26 played minutes INVASION got a freekick which was hit by Garth Sheldon. In the 29thth minute of the game Sean Hackney who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leonel fc's Mike Ainge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sean Hackney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Ainge having to interfere. Gez Adams came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mike Ainge could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Huckerby in the 37th minute of play forced INVASION's goalkeeper Pat Willoughby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garth Sheldon's late challenge caught a Leonel fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Garth Sheldon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, INVASION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garth Sheldon to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Leonel fc booed when INVASION was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gez Adams didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teddy Laverack's late challenge caught a INVASION's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teddy Laverack helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of INVASION booed when Leonel fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teddy Laverack didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sean Hackney came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the INVASION fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sean Hackney couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Leonel fc's Nial Love got a free kick in the 48th minute. If Sean Hackney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sean Hackney made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Gez Adams left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INVASION fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Sean Hackney fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INVASION's protests and gave Sean Hackney a yellow card for diving instead. Nick Huckerby's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pat Willoughby read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. After 65 played minutes Leonel fc got a freekick which was hit by Rich Quantrill. Mike Ainge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gez Adams in the 67th minute of the match. Sean Hackney scored 3-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mike Ainge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Sean Hackney's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mike Ainge was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Mike Ainge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gez Adams, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Garth Sheldon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sean Hackney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Ainge having to interfere. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 95 minutes into the game, Abraham Steel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leonel fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INVASION the free kick. 96 minutes into the match, Sean Hackney notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Leonel fc's Mike Ainge. Mike Ainge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. INVASION's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
