Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lenny Deighton kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenny Deighton in the 3rd minute of play forced Waterfoot's goalkeeper Iain Hall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Waterfoot's John-Paul Ashton got a free kick in the 6th minute. Roger Cousens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Tully, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Iain Hall was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lennie Rusk. Waterfoot's Iain Hall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Waterfoot from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the game, Knottingley's Chaz Beswetherick nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iain Hall made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenny Deighton in the 24th minute of play forced Waterfoot's goalkeeper Iain Hall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kieran Talbot during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Waterfoot getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Kieran Talbot hit a great ball. Roger Cousens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenny Bateman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Waterfoot fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! Iain Hall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenny Deighton, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chaz Beswetherick got free with Iain Hall in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lenny Bateman to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lenny Deighton in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iain Hall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 67 minutes into the match, Waterfoot's goal looked a bit too open when Chaz Beswetherick came free, but Iain Hall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iain Hall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chaz Beswetherick, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 77th match minute, Knottingley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenny Deighton to maneuver through the defense. Waterfoot's Iain Hall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chaz Beswetherick in the 80th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beinn Gillow during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Waterfoot's Beinn Gillow got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Knottingley walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
