Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Joshua Sheppard started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In a very dangerous position, a player in Belton United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Craig Pitts, was totally fooled by Lingdale Road FC's Jonathan Earnshaw, who 5 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Belton United's Craig Pitts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Sheppard in the 11th minute of play. Joshua Sheppard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Craig Pitts having to interfere. Vern Sands's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Craig Pitts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Lingdale Road FC's Vern Sands dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When Vern Sands came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Lingdale Road FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vern Sands couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Belton United's zone, Calvin Cusack stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Craig Pitts came out of the goal and Calvin Cusack tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the game, Joshua Sheppard recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Craig Pitts. Joshua Sheppard showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. If Vern Sands had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Craig Pitts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joshua Sheppard's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Craig Pitts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Sheppard, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Vern Sands had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Craig Pitts. Belton United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vern Sands was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Vern Sandss short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Craig Pitts to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Joshua Sheppard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Craig Pitts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Sheppard, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Beasley was the one to do the kick off. When Calvin Cusack fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lingdale Road FC's protests and gave Calvin Cusack a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Calvin Cusack hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vern Sands received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Craig Pitts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vern Sands sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 61st minute Joshua Sheppard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Craig Pitts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vern Sands fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Craig Pitts having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vern Sands in the 65th minute of play forced Belton United's goalkeeper Craig Pitts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Craig Pitts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vern Sands, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Vern Sands came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Lingdale Road FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vern Sands couldn't finish the play. If Vern Sands had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belton United's Craig Pitts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Sheppard in the 81st minute of play. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belton United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonathan Earnshaw was slow to take the kick. During this time Lingdale Road FC's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached Joshua Sheppard at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Belton United. 5-0. After 89 minutes, Vern Sands made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Belton United's Craig Pitts tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 97 minutes into the match, Donald Goodfellow had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Craig Pitts. Belton United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donald Goodfellow was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. There was no doubt that Lingdale Road FC were the better team. Lingdale Road FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
