Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Monkeys Village FC's Ed Ambrose started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Lingdale Road FC booed when Monkeys Village FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ed Ambrose didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vern Sands blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Calum Hall having to make a save. Jonathan Earnshaw kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Mick Hinshelwood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th match minute, Monkeys Village FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronnie Chalmers to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Monkeys Village FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Sheppard came free, but Calum Hall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18thth minute of the game Joshua Sheppard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monkeys Village FC's Calum Hall was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matt Howarth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Ryan Morrison made a huge save. After 22 played minutes Lingdale Road FC got a freekick which was hit by Donald Goodfellow. Calum Hall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Sheppard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Joshua Sheppard came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Lingdale Road FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joshua Sheppard couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Max Barker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Sheppard in the 41st minute of play forced Monkeys Village FC's goalkeeper Calum Hall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joshua Sheppard in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Calum Hall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Monkeys Village FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonathan Earnshaw was slow to take the kick. During this time Lingdale Road FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Lingdale Road FC's Jonathan Earnshaw to fire away a dangerous shot which Calum Hall despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Max Barker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monkeys Village FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lingdale Road FC the free kick. Max Barker hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Joshua Sheppard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lingdale Road FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Calum Hall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joshua Sheppard in the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Lingdale Road FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ed Ambrose came free, but Ryan Morrison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alan Milton kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Jonathan Earnshaw sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Calum Hall skillfully saved the ball. Matt Howarth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryan Morrison having to interfere. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monkeys Village FC's goalkeeper Calum Hall, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Matt Howarth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ryan Morrison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ryan Morrison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ed Ambrose, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Vern Sands received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Calum Hall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 minutes of play, Lingdale Road FC's Vern Sands made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Calum Hall was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lingdale Road FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
