To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th match minute, Belton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Beasley to maneuver through the defense. When Waterfoot's Victor Tully in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Belton United's goalie prevented a goal.

The Waterfoot supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Waterfoot would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
