After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Lennie Charlton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelski FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lennie Charlton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronan Bramble breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duncan McNiven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vince Mullen in the 38th minute of the match. Gwyn Beswetherick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The wind increased when Lennie Charlton made the kick off in the second half. Ronan Bramble showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Barnfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute of the match Andre Bevan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronan Bramble skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Benjamin Barnfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelski FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brighton and Hove United the free kick. In the 68th match minute, Chelski FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennie Charlton to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Andre Bevan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brighton and Hove United's Gwyn Beswetherick suffered a sore thigh after 74 minutes and couldn't finish the game.
