Spectators: 7335 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Stuart Gardner got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristopher Dobson in the 5th minute of play forced Kings Cross's goalkeeper Lance Boston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lance Boston stood somewhat misplaced when Jack Sharpe came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 11 minute. Jack Sharpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Salisbury United's Lance Boston threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kristopher Dobson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 23 minutes into the match, Salisbury United's goal looked a bit too open when Frankie Welsh came free, but Grant Butterfield reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stuart Gardner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grant Butterfield having to interfere. In the 31st minute Stuart Gardner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant Butterfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sacha Beecham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Kings Cross booed when Salisbury United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terry Wicks didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Chip Hylton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salisbury United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kings Cross the free kick. After 40 played minutes Salisbury United got a freekick which was hit by Chip Hylton. 44 minutes into the match, Kristopher Dobson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lance Boston. Kings Cross's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kristopher Dobson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Kings Cross's Simon Miller got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 55th minute Stuart Gardner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant Butterfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chip Hylton hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Grant Butterfield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stuart Gardner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Kings Cross booed when Salisbury United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chip Hylton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kings Cross were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Salisbury United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matt Davenport took the corner. The corner ended in Matt Davenport almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Salisbury United's Grant Butterfield did a great save. In the 68th minute, Kristopher Dobson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lance Boston was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Lance Boston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristopher Dobson, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Kings Cross's goal looked a bit too open when Kristopher Dobson came free, but Lance Boston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tom Currie during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Kings Cross getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Tom Currie hit a great ball. Lance Boston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristopher Dobson in the 78th minute of play. If Kristopher Dobson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Salisbury United had won after a very even match.
