Walter Waterhouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Bright having to interfere. Kurt Bright showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfie Rowett, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Walter Waterhouse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 16 minutes, Steven Albright managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. addiscombe corinthians 4D's supporters crossed their fingers, but Steven Albright was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. addiscombe corinthians 4D's Bryan Ash got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hayden Carsley during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of addiscombe corinthians 4D booed when Runcorn City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayden Carsley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurt Bright showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Waterhouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Kurt Bright made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Waterhouse in the 34th minute of play. Russell Hazledine scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kurt Bright, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Russell Hazledine fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Runcorn City's protests and gave Russell Hazledine a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th match minute, Runcorn City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russell Hazledine to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to addiscombe corinthians 4D getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Grant Zamora hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Barry Broad was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Waterhouse in the 71st minute of play forced addiscombe corinthians 4D's goalkeeper Kurt Bright to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Bright showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Waterhouse in the 76th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Walter Waterhouse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Runcorn City's supporters rose to their feet, but Walter Waterhouse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Bright breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. addiscombe corinthians 4D's Kurt Bright played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Waterhouse in the 88th minute of play. When Alfie Rowett came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Runcorn City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfie Rowett couldn't finish the play. If Walter Waterhouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Runcorn City's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
