Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Chip Carey made the kick off which started today's match. Chip Carey scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kieran Rusby, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 8th match minute, Manchester City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mike Searle to maneuver through the defense. Kristian Cain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glyn Louis in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Callington getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Sebastian Neville hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Callington's zone, Lloyd Alsford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kieran Rusby came out of the goal and Lloyd Alsford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kris Teague fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Cain having to interfere. Kris Teague's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kristian Cain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Kris Teague received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Kristian Cain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kris Teague had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glyn Louis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 24th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Kieran Rusby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chip Carey in the 29th minute of play. With his leg Kristian Cain managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Callington's Glyn Louis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Glyn Louis did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Kristian Cain 32 minutes into the match. Kieran Rusby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lloyd Alsford in the 37th minute of the match. Callington's Kieran Rusby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lloyd Alsford in the 38th minute of play. Johnny Clarkson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Kristian Cain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristian Cain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glyn Louis, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Chip Carey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kieran Rusby having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Glyn Louis to make the kick off. The Callington fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Callington's Kris Teague looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kris Teague recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manchester City's Chip Carey got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Callington's corner Jeff Perryman fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kristian Cain quite easily take care of the ball. In the 72nd minute Glyn Louis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Cain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kris Weston hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Kristian Cain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glyn Louis, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Callington's Kris Teague got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
