Crispin Simms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leigh Theakston having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Perry Newton to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Crispin Simms in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leigh Theakston saved Shepherds Bush Boys from getting behind. In the 53rd minute Crispin Simms shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leigh Theakston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shepherds Bush Boys's goalkeeper Leigh Theakston, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Byron Bland made a precise shot to the right of Neil Blackley. Cheddar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Fraser Mitchell-King charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Dale Kearney blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leigh Theakston having to make a save. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
