Spectators: 7590 (Terracing: 5694, Seating: 1746, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Keiran Barnfield started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, one of Pizzle Youth Team:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pizzle Youth Team. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Brett Reynolds managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stocksbridge FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brett Reynolds was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dom Dawes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Brett Reynolds had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Pizzle Youth Team's goal looked a bit too open when Brett Reynolds came free, but Dom Dawes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Pizzle Youth Team's goal looked a bit too open when Lawrence Sutton came free, but Dom Dawes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Pizzle Youth Team's goal looked a bit too open when Lawrence Sutton came free, but Dom Dawes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pizzle Youth Team's Dale Pritchard got a free kick in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the match, Pizzle Youth Team's goal looked a bit too open when Lawrence Sutton came free, but Dom Dawes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Pizzle Youth Team booed when Stocksbridge FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andre Tomlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Pizzle Youth Team's goal looked a bit too open when Lawrence Sutton came free, but Dom Dawes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Stocksbridge FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lawrence Sutton to make the kick off. Brett Reynolds blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dom Dawes having to make a save. Lawrence Sutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dom Dawes having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pizzle Youth Team's zone, Brett Reynolds stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dom Dawes came out of the goal and Brett Reynolds tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lawrence Sutton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Dom Dawes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brett Reynolds sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dom Dawes came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Stocksbridge FC's Brett Reynolds. But to his dismay, Brett Reynolds quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 69th match minute, Stocksbridge FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lance Aspinall to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Pizzle Youth Team's Dale Pritchard got a free kick in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Brett Reynolds notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Pizzle Youth Team's Dom Dawes. Dom Dawes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dom Dawes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lawrence Sutton, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The supporters of Stocksbridge FC booed when Pizzle Youth Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Archie Crowell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stocksbridge FC's Lawrence Sutton got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dom Dawes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lawrence Sutton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lawrence Sutton might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dom Dawes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lawrence Sutton ran back to his position shaking his head. 89 minutes into the match, Stocksbridge FC's Brett Reynolds sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dom Dawes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Lawrence Sutton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Stocksbridge FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pizzle Youth Team.
