Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lawrence Sutton took the kick off in the first half of the match. Lawrence Sutton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leigh Theakston came out and tried to block the shot, but Lawrence Sutton slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. A collision led to Shepherds Bush Boys getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Camron Leather hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Shepherds Bush Boys's zone, Lawrence Sutton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leigh Theakston came out of the goal and Lawrence Sutton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Shepherds Bush Boys's Leigh Theakston proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Shepherds Bush Boys from getting a goal against them. If Lance Tomkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camron Leather charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camron Leather the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes Shepherds Bush Boys got a freekick which was hit by Camron Leather. In the 36thth minute of the game Lawrence Sutton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shepherds Bush Boys's Leigh Theakston was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 38 minutes, Nick Fry mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stocksbridge FC and the Shepherds Bush Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nick Fry kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Lance Aspinall was shown his second yellow card after 42 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Lance Aspinall hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Tyler Le Saux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Byron Bland in the 45th minute of play. When Andre Tomlin fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stocksbridge FC's protests and gave Andre Tomlin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Shepherds Bush Boys booed when Stocksbridge FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andre Tomlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Byron Bland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shepherds Bush Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Byron Bland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tyler Le Saux breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lance Tomkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Byron Bland was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Stocksbridge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Byron Bland came free, but Tyler Le Saux reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Brett Reynolds cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Leigh Theakston was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andre Tomlin hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Andre Tomlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brett Reynolds received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Leigh Theakston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brett Reynolds in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leigh Theakston saved Shepherds Bush Boys from getting behind. In the 68th minute Brett Reynolds shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leigh Theakston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Shepherds Bush Boys getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Camron Leather hit a great ball. Tyler Le Saux made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lance Tomkin in the 81st minute. Brett Reynolds's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leigh Theakston read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Brett Reynolds fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leigh Theakston having to interfere. Lawrence Sutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leigh Theakston having to interfere. Stocksbridge FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
