Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Stocksbridge FC's Lawrence Sutton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Stocksbridge FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lawrence Sutton to maneuver through the defense. Manchester City's Kristian Cain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lawrence Sutton in the 11th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Noel Harland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manchester City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stocksbridge FC the free kick. A collision led to Manchester City getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Noel Harland hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Brett Reynolds put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kristian Cain. If Lawrence Sutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Brett Reynolds managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stocksbridge FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brett Reynolds was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristian Cain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the game, Lawrence Sutton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Kristian Cain was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Stocksbridge FC's Tyler Le Saux got control of the ball when Lloyd Alsford tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lloyd Alsford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Tyler Le Saux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute Mike Searle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyler Le Saux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lawrence Sutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lance Aspinall hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After the first half Stocksbridge FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chip Carey made a kick off. When Manchester City's Chip Carey in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stocksbridge FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Chip Carey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lawrence Sutton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Cain having to interfere. Brett Reynolds received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Kristian Cain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andre Tomlin during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stocksbridge FC's Andre Tomlin got a free kick in the 79th minute. Al Crowther kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Keanu Pickford missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 82 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Tyler Le Saux right hand side. After a rather tough play, Stocksbridge FC's Andre Tomlin got a free kick in the 84th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Manchester City's Keanu Pickford tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Stocksbridge FC's Felix Banim got a free kick in the 86th minute. Tyler Le Saux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chip Carey in the 91st minute of play. When Andre Tomlin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played. A collision led to Stocksbridge FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Andre Tomlin hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Chip Carey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyler Le Saux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lloyd Alsford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mike Searle hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Nick Fry charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nick Fry the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Stocksbridge FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Nick Fry hit a great ball. Lloyd Alsford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Stocksbridge FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
