Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cheddar's Perry Newton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kris Teague sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neil Blackley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glyn Louis in the 10th minute of the match. If Sebastian Neville had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute Glyn Louis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neil Blackley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glyn Louis took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Neil Blackley. Neil Blackley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Glyn Louis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Perry Newton succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Crispin Simms sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glyn Louis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cheddar's Neil Blackley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Teague in the 33rd minute of play. The supporters of Cheddar booed when Callington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Perryman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Crispin Simms in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kieran Rusby, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 38th minute Kris Teague shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neil Blackley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Teague in the 40th minute of play forced Cheddar's goalkeeper Neil Blackley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Sebastian Neville hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dale Kearney shot from long distance in the 43rd minute, but Kieran Rusby was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. The wind increased when Glyn Louis made the kick off in the second half. Crispin Simms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kieran Rusby having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glyn Louis in the 62nd minute of play forced Cheddar's goalkeeper Neil Blackley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Kris Teague left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Callington fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Kris Teague had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neil Blackley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kris Teague in the 70th minute. Glyn Louis struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Neil Blackley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Callington. Jonny Fayle charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonny Fayle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cheddar getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jonny Fayle hit a great ball. Neil Blackley acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 82nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jeff Perryman. Neil Blackley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glyn Louis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Crispin Simms left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cheddar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 98 minutes into the game, Glyn Louis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Neil Blackley. Glyn Louis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Callington's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
