Rawmarsh's Alexander Capes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Rawmarsh from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, Rawmarsh's goalkeeper Alexander Capes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brendon Worrall. The audience was convinced that Justin Jennings's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexander Capes was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Alexander Capes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justin Jennings, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Alexander Capes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th match minute, Rawmarsh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John-Paul Philips to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, wells's Curtis Deighton tried to score from far away in the 49th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.

Justin Jennings received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Alexander Capes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chesney Hird received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Olly Wring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lance Chipperfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Justin Jennings made a precise shot to the right of Alexander Capes. Rawmarsh's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Chesney Hird came free in the 90th minute and tried to tip the ball over Olly Wring, but to the joy of wells's supporters the ball went over. Chesney Hird sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steven Woodhouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olly Wring having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rawmarsh's zone, Lance Chipperfield stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Capes came out of the goal and Lance Chipperfield tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rawmarsh players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for wells.
