Blackwater and Frogm
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Phillip Granger kicked off to start the match. Wiveliscombe's Ethan Skipton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phillip Granger in the 4th minute of play. Phillip Granger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ethan Skipton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ethan Skipton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phillip Granger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mitch Ashton during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes Blackwater and Frogmore got a freekick which was hit by Mitch Ashton. 15 minutes into the game, Ian Snowdon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ethan Skipton. Ian Snowdon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Buster Longstaff hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. A hard shot 23 in the game by Sacha Lawson from a close distance when the talented Ethan Skipton managed to make a qualified save. Wiveliscombe's players were relieved. Phillip Granger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ethan Skipton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ethan Skipton didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 34th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. After 36 minutes, Malcolm Walmsley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wiveliscombe and the Blackwater and Frogmore players grew even worse after the yellow card. Malcolm Walmsley hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Wiveliscombe defense, Sacha Lawson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ethan Skipton. The Wiveliscombe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ethan Skipton should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Wiveliscombe's Ethan Skipton got control of the ball when Sacha Lawson tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Phillip Granger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hayden Roberts made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Phillip Granger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ethan Skipton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phillip Granger, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fitz Briggs during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th minute, Fitz Briggs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fitz Briggs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sacha Lawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sacha Lawson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ethan Skipton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phillip Granger in the 70th minute of the match. If Ian Snowdon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Ian Snowdon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ethan Skipton was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Ethan Skipton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phillip Granger, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Sacha Lawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ethan Skipton having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Phillip Granger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blackwater and Frogmore fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Blackwater and Frogmore had played much better football throughout.
