Lewis Nicholson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Damian Snowden showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. In the 7th match minute, Lindfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Cummins to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rory Pope during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Rory Pope kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lewis Nicholson. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. The referee showed George Cummins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute, George Cummins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frankie Clay, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Wally Laverick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Crosby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Ben Crosby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wally Laverick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Snowden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Lewis Nicholson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, F.C LuccaUK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ben Crosby to maneuver through the defense. Lewis Nicholson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Snowden in the 43rd minute of the match. Damian Snowden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damian Snowden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lewis Nicholson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damian Snowden was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Damian Way fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Wally Laverick, passed just outside the right post. F.C LuccaUK's Lewis Nicholson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald Clifton in the 54th minute of play. If Donald Clifton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Damian Snowden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, F.C LuccaUK's Lennie Buchanan got a free kick in the 59th minute. Donald Clifton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Damian Snowden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Nicholson having to interfere. The supporters of Lindfield booed when F.C LuccaUK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Charie didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Trevor McDonald sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and F.C LuccaUK's Lewis Nicholson didn't even have to move. F.C LuccaUK's Lewis Nicholson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Snowden in the 74th minute of play. After some careless play in the Lindfield defense, Damian Way kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wally Laverick. The Lindfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wally Laverick should have stopped the shot. In the 80th match minute, F.C LuccaUK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Charie to maneuver through the defense. When Lindfield's Damian Snowden, in the 82nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Lindfield. 85 minutes into the game, Lindfield's Damian Snowden nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lewis Nicholson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 99th minute Lindfield were awarded a corner. Trevor McDonald went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Trevor McDonald almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but F.C LuccaUK's Lewis Nicholson did a great save. Lindfield walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
