Spectators: 6729 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mike Westwood started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Pitt in the 4th minute of play forced Ossett United's goalkeeper Rodd Rawlings to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodd Rawlings came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Ilford Town Fc's Aaron Pitt. But to his dismay, Aaron Pitt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Theo Billington got free with Nat Hassell in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodd Rawlings took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupert Morrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rupert Morrell in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodd Rawlings saved Ossett United from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Rupert Morrell made a precise shot to the right of Rodd Rawlings. Ossett United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Rodd Rawlings showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupert Morrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aaron Pitt in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodd Rawlings saved Ossett United from getting behind. 45 minutes into the match, Gareth Bilton notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Ossett United's Rodd Rawlings. Rodd Rawlings was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Rodd Rawlings made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aaron Pitt in the 54th minute. Rodd Rawlings showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rupert Morrell in the 56th minute of the match. If Aaron Pitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rupert Morrell in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodd Rawlings prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nat Hassell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theo Billington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Ossett United's Theo Billington sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nat Hassell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th match minute, Ossett United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Young to maneuver through the defense. Malcolm Halliwell hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Aaron Pitt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Rupert Morrell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodd Rawlings was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The Ossett United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ilford Town Fc were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
