Aaron Pitt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Lance Hardy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 7 minutes of play, Ilford Town Fc's Aaron Pitt made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lance Hardy was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gareth Bilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nat Hassell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis Gullit in the 12th minute of the match. Ken Yorke kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Alexis Gullit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rupert Morrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lance Hardy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aaron Pitt in the 23rd minute. After 29 minutes of play, Ilford Town Fc's Aaron Pitt made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lance Hardy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lance Hardy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rupert Morrell in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Faithless FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ashley Mortlock to maneuver through the defense. If Ken Yorke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Faithless FC's zone, Gareth Bilton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Hardy came out of the goal and Gareth Bilton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Faithless FC's Alexis Gullit got a free kick in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gareth Bilton in the 46th minute of play forced Faithless FC's goalkeeper Lance Hardy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faithless FC's Lance Hardy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Faithless FC from getting a goal against them. Todd Featherson's late challenge caught a Ilford Town Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Todd Featherson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ilford Town Fc booed when Faithless FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Todd Featherson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilford Town Fc's Stan Morrison shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 49th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lance Hardy but with some difficulty. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rupert Morrell to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Aaron Pitt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ilford Town Fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Gareth Bilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Lance Hardy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faithless FC's Lance Hardy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gareth Bilton in the 60th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Faithless FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Todd Featherson to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Gareth Bilton made a precise shot to the right of Lance Hardy. Faithless FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Alexis Gullit blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nat Hassell having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Pitt in the 75th minute of play forced Faithless FC's goalkeeper Lance Hardy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lance Hardy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gareth Bilton, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Lance Hardy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frankie Attenborough in the 82nd minute of the match. Aaron Pitt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Lance Hardy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Faithless FC defense, Rupert Morrell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lance Hardy. The Faithless FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lance Hardy should have stopped the shot. Frankie Attenborough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Hardy having to interfere. Ilford Town Fc walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
