The Faithless FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hawkstone United were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stuart Bartlett made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damon Hart got free with Lance Hardy in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Faithless FC booed when Hawkstone United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominic Potter didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Bartlett in the 80th minute of play forced Faithless FC's goalkeeper Lance Hardy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eddie Norton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Lance Hardy made a huge save.
