Spectators: 7173 (Terracing: 5673, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Shelfield FC's Max Chambers started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damien Sheridan in the 5th minute of play forced Shelfield FC's goalkeeper Danny Markham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Shelfield FC's goal looked a bit too open when Craig McRobbie came free, but Danny Markham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute Craig McRobbie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Markham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 played minutes Twickenham got a freekick which was hit by Shane Spann. In the 21st minute, Max Chambers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Danny Markham made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damien Sheridan in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Craig McRobbie in the 25th minute of play forced Shelfield FC's goalkeeper Danny Markham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Twickenham's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tommy Tucker in the 27th minute. Max Chambers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Shelfield FC's goalkeeper Danny Markham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damien Sheridan. 34 minutes into the match, Twickenham's Craig McRobbie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danny Markham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36thth minute of the game Craig McRobbie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shelfield FC's Danny Markham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Craig McRobbie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damien Sheridan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Danny Markham when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 47 minutes into the match, Twickenham's goal looked a bit too open when Russ Westerby came free, but Zack Kennedy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Craig McRobbie to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Damien Sheridan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Twickenham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The audience was convinced that Craig McRobbie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danny Markham was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Danny Markham came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Twickenham's Craig McRobbie. But to his dismay, Craig McRobbie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Danny Markham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damien Sheridan in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Denzil Brighton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danny Markham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damien Sheridan's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Craig McRobbie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Damien Sheridan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Max Chambers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shelfield FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Max Chambers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Shelfield FC's Danny Markham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Craig McRobbie in the 80th minute of play. Craig McRobbie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danny Markham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Craig McRobbie in the 84th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Shelfield FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Twickenham a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tommy Tucker, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Shelfield FC's Danny Markham. 3-0. In the 94th minute Damien Sheridan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Markham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Craig McRobbie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shelfield FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
