In the 7th minute Craig McRobbie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vance Knight saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Jamal Wray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Twickenham's zone, Daniel King stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zack Kennedy came out of the goal and Daniel King tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Craig McRobbie in the 24th minute of play forced Chattenden Critters's goalkeeper Vance Knight to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zack Kennedy made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Kasey Bourne sent off a good shot on target. Zack Kennedy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel King, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Twickenham's Zack Kennedy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel King in the 36th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Craig McRobbie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chattenden Critters were furious when Jez Browne was red carded, 52 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chattenden Critters! Chattenden Critters's attentive Tommy Elding managed to snatch the ball when Ged Birchall made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. Daniel King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 played minutes Chattenden Critters got a freekick which was hit by Albert Corbett. Vance Knight came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Twickenham's Damien Sheridan. But to his dismay, Damien Sheridan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. With an all-out effort, Twickenham's Vance Knight threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Craig McRobbie, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Daniel King had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Twickenham booed when Chattenden Critters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alastair Nancy didn't get a good kick on the ball.
