Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 50) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Max Chambers made the kick off which started today's match. William Kerfoot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joey Wootton in the 4th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Shane Brownlow got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shane Brownlow could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Danny Markham made a huge save. After 8 played minutes Shelfield FC got a freekick which was hit by Joey Wootton. When A.C green lions's Russell Lynam in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shelfield FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 12thth minute of the game Russell Lynam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shelfield FC's Danny Markham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Verne Armstrong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danny Markham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Russell Lynam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Wayne Bannister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Kerfoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Chambers in the 24th minute of play forced A.C green lions's goalkeeper William Kerfoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danny Markham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Russell Lynam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Verne Armstrong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Markham having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Russ Westerby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Kerfoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shelfield FC's Danny Markham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Shelfield FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Shelfield FC booed when A.C green lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Verne Armstrong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shane Brownlow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Markham having to interfere. When A.C green lions's Russell Lynam in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Russell Lynam stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Chambers in the 53rd minute of play forced A.C green lions's goalkeeper William Kerfoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danny Markham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Verne Armstrong in the 55th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Shelfield FC's William Kerfoot threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Max Chambers, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. William Kerfoot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Russ Westerby in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute Russell Lynam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Markham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Shelfield FC's goal looked a bit too open when Verne Armstrong came free, but Danny Markham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Verne Armstrong lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. William Kerfoot had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Rodd Woodier's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. William Kerfoot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max Chambers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shelfield FC's goalkeeper Danny Markham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kyle Jobson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Danny Markham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danny Markham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marek Brownlow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny Markham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Russell Lynam, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. A.C green lions's Kyle Jobson managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sebastian Pearce in the 82 minute of the game. Kyle Jobson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Russell Lynam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Shelfield FC's Max Chambers ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind William Kerfoot. William Kerfoot yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 90th minute, Joey Wootton made a precise shot to the right of William Kerfoot. A.C green lions's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A.C green lions's William Kerfoot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save A.C green lions from getting a goal against them. A.C green lions's William Kerfoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Chambers in the 98th minute of play. Chants of Shelfield FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as A.C green lions had held the ball for most of the match.
