Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Max Chambers took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bletchingley's zone, Max Chambers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nathanial Higgins came out of the goal and Max Chambers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 7 minutes, Sebastian Pearce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shelfield FC and the Bletchingley players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bletchingley booed when Shelfield FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Pearce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bletchingley's Nathanial Higgins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wayne Bannister in the 15th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Kev Watkins put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Danny Markham. Matt Philips hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kev Watkins was the one to do the kick off. Kev Watkins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danny Markham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kev Watkins in the 56th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Joey Wootton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathanial Higgins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kev Watkins in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danny Markham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Bletchingley's Garry Downs got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Russ Westerby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Matt Philips came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Bletchingley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matt Philips couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Shelfield FC's Wayne Bannister got a free kick in the 78th minute. The supporters of Bletchingley booed when Shelfield FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Jobson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Matt Philips put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Danny Markham. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henry Blain during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Danny Markham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Philips, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bletchingley's Matt Philips got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 98 minutes into the match, Shelfield FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matt Philips came free, but Danny Markham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bletchingley had played much better football throughout.
