After a rather tough play, Hojen Rovers's Calum Caine got a free kick in the 4th minute. Benjamin Redwood-Turner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damien Whitman, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Brian Browne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel Moyse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Hojen Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Chris Bromley. rebels's Brian Browne got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Des Thurman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 23 minutes, Shawn Easton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. rebels's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shawn Easton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Brian Browne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes rebels got a freekick which was hit by Daryl Mullan. If Daryl Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Moyse didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 38th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Brian Browne's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Samuel Moyse skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Brian Browne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Samuel Moyse made a huge save. In the 47th match minute, rebels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shawn Easton to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Freddy Porter made a kick off. The supporters of rebels booed when Hojen Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Warren Barfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 53 minutes, Brian Browne made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hojen Rovers's Samuel Moyse tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th match minute, rebels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daryl Mullan to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in rebels fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Hojen Rovers. Alastair Pascoe stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benjamin Redwood-Turner. 2-1. If Daryl Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shawn Easton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Daryl Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. rebels's Shawn Easton got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daryl Mullan took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel Moyse. Samuel Moyse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When Shawn Easton came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the rebels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shawn Easton couldn't finish the play. Samuel Moyse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daryl Mullan, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When Tim Spann came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the rebels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tim Spann couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute Daryl Mullan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Moyse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Shawn Easton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. rebels had played much better football throughout.
