Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Frome City's Bryan Clayton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Bryan Clayton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. The supporters of Achilles FC booed when Frome City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harvey Ainge didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Ross Hind fired a really elegant long shot, but Ashley Bettney threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. If Alastair Mahon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ashley Bettney was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Vic Edwards capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vic Edwards really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 24th minute Bryan Clayton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Sheene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Ashley Bettney successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ashley Bettney didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bob Mason went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Alastair Mahon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Harvey Sheene tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vic Edwards might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ashley Bettney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vic Edwards ran back to his position shaking his head. Pierce Brayson hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Harvey Sheene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alastair Mahon in the 42nd minute of the match. Bryan Clayton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harvey Sheene read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vic Edwards to make the kick off. After 53 minutes Frome City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ross Hind who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Achilles FC's Ross Hind to fire away a dangerous shot which Ashley Bettney despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bob Mason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ashley Bettney having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Alastair Mahon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Frome City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Alastair Mahon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harvey Sheene having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Achilles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ross Hind to maneuver through the defense. Alastair Mahon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alastair Mahons short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Harvey Sheene to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bryan Clayton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Achilles FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Pierce Brayson hit a great ball. The Frome City players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Achilles FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
