Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Battle AFC's Marty West started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, St Arsene Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Marty West came free, but Ted Burrows reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Marty West fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ted Burrows, passed just outside the right post. Marty West recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ted Burrows made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Jez Wallbank sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of St Arsene Fc booed when Battle AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deon Snowden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ted Burrows took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marty West, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Marty West had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marty West fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Burrows having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Battle AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jez Wallbank to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to St Arsene Fc getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Jake Whitford hit a great ball. Battle AFC's Jez Wallbank got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jake Whitford stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barrie Ely during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Barrie Ely hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Marty West sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Jez Wallbank managed to get in a good position for a shot. Battle AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jez Wallbank was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ted Burrows breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Marty West's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ted Burrows was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 63rdth minute of the game Jez Wallbank who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but St Arsene Fc's Ted Burrows was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Jez Wallbank cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ted Burrows was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Battle AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
