Spectators: 7538 (Terracing: 5655, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. When Marty Garner-Currie came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Teignsda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marty Garner-Currie couldn't finish the play. Eddie Henman came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Teignsda's Steve Ridgeway. But to his dismay, Steve Ridgeway quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jagiellonia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teignsda the free kick. After a rather tough play, Jagiellonia's Gaz Bedford got a free kick in the 16th minute. If Fraser Speed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 played minutes Jagiellonia got a freekick which was hit by Dale Birch. When Gaz Bedford was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 28 minutes had been played. After 29 played minutes Jagiellonia got a freekick which was hit by Gaz Bedford. Eddie Henman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Ridgeway in the 32nd minute of the match. When Marty Garner-Currie came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Teignsda fans jumped to their feet. Fraser Speed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fraser Speed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Henman having to interfere. After the first half Teignsda were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Steve Ridgeway made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Jagiellonia's goalkeeper Eddie Henman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 54th minute Steve Ridgeway shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Henman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rio Howard struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Rupert Farrell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jagiellonia. Eddie Henman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fraser Speed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eddie Henman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fraser Speed, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Teignsda's Steve Ridgeway got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eddie Henman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fraser Speed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eddie Henman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fraser Speed went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Steve Ridgeway struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Eddie Henman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Teignsda. Steve Ridgeway fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Henman having to interfere.
