Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rufus Clarkson got the match started through his kick off. Robbie Laverick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Matthews in the 3rd minute of play. Stewart Gates kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Verne Wadham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrone Bramble saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Bowler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Verne Wadham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyrone Bramble having to interfere. If Julian Bowler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeff Baker kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eric Matthews in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robbie Laverick saved Thame from getting behind. Eric Matthews received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Robbie Laverick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The corner led to Swanmore's Mike Ackland getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Tyler Renwick charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tyler Renwick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes Swanmore got a freekick which was hit by Tyler Renwick. 44 minutes into the game, Mike Ackland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Swanmore's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thame the free kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Verne Wadham made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Thame getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Stewart Gates hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eric Matthews got free with Robbie Laverick in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rufus Clarkson's late challenge caught a Thame's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rufus Clarkson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Swanmore's Rufus Clarkson got a free kick in the 66th minute. The audience was convinced that Verne Wadham's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tyrone Bramble was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Robbie Laverick was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rufus Clarkson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 71 minute of play. Leroy Hardwick hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Thame's Robbie Laverick got control of the ball when Eric Matthews tried to sneak it across the goal line.
