Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The crowd rose to their feet as Luke Rockett kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dylan Bonham. That made the score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Radcliffe-on-Trent's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gav Ward was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Stone booed when Radcliffe-on-Trent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wes Bishop didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stone's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
