After a defensive mix-up in Radcliffe-on-Trent's zone, Matthew Bull stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dylan Bonham came out of the goal and Matthew Bull tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teignsda's Rupert Farrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wes Bishop in the 9th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Teignsda got a freekick which was hit by Marty Garner-Currie. Rupert Farrell made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Hugh Goodall sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th minute Wes Bishop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rupert Farrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute Marty Garner-Currie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dylan Bonham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marty Garner-Currie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keith Beavan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rupert Farrell having to make a save. Teignsda's Rupert Farrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wes Bishop in the 34th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teignsda were furious when Seb Paley was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Teignsda! The referee gave Radcliffe-on-Trent a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Keith Beavan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Teignsda's Rupert Farrell. 2-0. The penalty shot was made by Keith Beavan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Teignsda's Rupert Farrell. 3-0. After some careless play in the Teignsda defense, Wes Bishop kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rupert Farrell. The Teignsda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rupert Farrell should have stopped the shot. Radcliffe-on-Trent's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
