Rio Howard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. St Arsene Fc's Ted Burrows played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Lampard in the 40th minute of play. When Malcolm Hislop fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored St Arsene Fc's protests and gave Malcolm Hislop a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, St Arsene Fc's Malcolm Hislop got a free kick in the 41st minute. Wayne Osbourn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Henman having to interfere. In the 46th minute Tod Rush shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Burrows saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Ted Lampard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ted Burrows. St Arsene Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ted Lampard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ted Lampard to make the kick off. After 62 played minutes St Arsene Fc got a freekick which was hit by Malcolm Hislop. Jagiellonia's Garry Boston shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 63rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ted Burrows but with some difficulty. Rio Howard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ted Burrows tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jake Whitford hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Lennie Byrne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garry Boston didn't quite understand what happened when in the 75 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Wayne Osbourn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Jagiellonia's Keanu Homes got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Wayne Osbourn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. St Arsene Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wayne Osbourn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Lampard in the 97th minute of play forced St Arsene Fc's goalkeeper Ted Burrows to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, St Arsene Fc's Jake Whitford got a free kick in the 99th minute. Garry Boston was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 100th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Jagiellonia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jagiellonia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
