Spectators: 7502 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Donald Hutchinson got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Polzeath City's Peter Steel got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 7th minute, Polzeath City's Rex Lowe dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Donald Hutchinson took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joe Sugden. Joe Sugden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Joe Sugden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Sawyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Damian Sawyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the game, Rex Lowe lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Jamie Rhodes. A collision led to Huyton FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Stuart Hickson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jamie Rhodes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Jamie Rhodes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stuart Hickson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rex Lowe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rex Lowe in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jamie Rhodes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 69 played minutes Huyton FC got a freekick which was hit by Des Rusby. In the 77thth minute of the game Stuart Hickson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huyton FC's Jamie Rhodes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Donald Hutchinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Rex Lowe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jamie Rhodes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rex Lowe in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Polzeath City players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
