Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jake Gill got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Walshaw City's zone, Jermaine Titmus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnathan Postolan came out of the goal and Jermaine Titmus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walshaw City's Johnathan Postolan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wally Monk in the 14th minute of play. Sammy Brindley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Liam Lonsdale in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wally Monk in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnathan Postolan saved Walshaw City from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Burrows in the 20th minute of play forced Walshaw City's goalkeeper Johnathan Postolan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Liam Lonsdale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnathan Postolan came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Riverside City FC's Paul Woolford. But to his dismay, Paul Woolford quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 27th minute Stuart Burrows shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathan Postolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Connor Linford kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Jermaine Titmus made a precise shot to the right of Johnathan Postolan. Walshaw City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 37th minute, Jermaine Titmus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Riverside City FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Johnathan Postolan came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Riverside City FC's Wally Monk. But to his dismay, Wally Monk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Stuart Burrows received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Johnathan Postolan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Riverside City FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wally Monk to strike the kick off in the second half. Wally Monk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wally Monk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul Woolford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnathan Postolan having to interfere. Walshaw City's Johnathan Postolan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Walshaw City from getting a goal against them. The Riverside City FC fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Riverside City FC's Wally Monk looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 67th minute Stewart Bradbury shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy Brindley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stuart Burrows sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th play minute Jermaine Titmus came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Johnathan Postolan. 0-6. Johnathan Postolan made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Paul Woolford sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute of the match Riverside City FC got a corner. Walshaw City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Connor Linford ran over to the corner to take the kick. Riverside City FC's Connor Linford was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Johnathan Postolan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jermaine Titmus succeeded in the game's 95th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-8. Riverside City FC played a much better game than Walshaw City and deserved their victory. The Walshaw City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
