The supporters of Carterton AFC booed when West Bromwich Albion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nath Jones didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute Tom Strongman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zackary Byfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tom Strongman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, West Bromwich Albion's William Carter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matty Dixon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Zackary Byfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Strongman in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when William Blackwater made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Brandon Hudson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zackary Byfield. That made the score 4-2 in the 57 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Carterton AFC's Tom Francis got a free kick in the 62nd minute. William Blackwater sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matty Dixon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Blackwater, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, William Carter put it in 5-2 from a short distance just to the right of Matty Dixon. In the 71st minute, William Blackwater got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 76 minutes of play, West Bromwich Albion's William Blackwater made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matty Dixon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brandon Hudson succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-4. In the 87th minute, William Carter made a precise shot to the right of Matty Dixon. Carterton AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-4.
