After a defensive mix-up in FC Slovan Liberec's zone, Nath Jones stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Robinson came out of the goal and Nath Jones tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Slovan Liberec's goalkeeper Damian Robinson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If William Blackwater had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. West Bromwich Albion fully deserved thier win.
