Roger Hamilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Carl Dowrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonny Sheehan took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Carpenter. David Carpenter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Carl Dowrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niall Kelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in shirebrook united's zone, Niall Kelly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carl Dowrick came out of the goal and Niall Kelly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, shirebrook united's Jerome Afful ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind David Carpenter. David Carpenter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sheerness United's goalkeeper David Carpenter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 33 minutes, Jonny Sheehan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. shirebrook united's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonny Sheehan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jerome Afful fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Carpenter having to interfere. 37 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when shirebrook united's Jerome Afful fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Jonny Sheehan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Sheerness United's goalkeeper David Carpenter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonny Sheehan. David Carpenter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerome Afful, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the match, Sheerness United's goal looked a bit too open when Jerome Afful came free, but David Carpenter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jonny Sheehan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 57thth minute of the game Jerome Afful who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sheerness United's David Carpenter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerome Afful in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Carpenter saved Sheerness United from getting behind. In the 62ndth minute of the game Jerome Afful who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sheerness United's David Carpenter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. David Carpenter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Jonny Sheehan made a precise shot to the right of David Carpenter. Sheerness United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Roger Liddle's late challenge caught a shirebrook united's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
