Ephemeral Ghosts's Alistair Eslworth got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Alistair Eslworth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martyn Duggan. Haslingfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alistair Eslworth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 41 minutes into the game, Haslingfield's Junior Worrall nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theo Beadle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 46th match minute, Ephemeral Ghosts was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kieran Eubank to maneuver through the defense. If Sid Bodsworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Richie Santos made the kick off in the second half. Richie Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyn Duggan having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Haslingfield's goal looked a bit too open when Alistair Eslworth came free, but Martyn Duggan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ephemeral Ghosts's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haslingfield the free kick. A collision led to Ephemeral Ghosts getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Richie Santos hit a great ball. If Alistair Eslworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Theo Beadle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sid Bodsworth's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 90th minute, Romeo Clayton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
