Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kristopher Deeney started the match with the kick off. Leigh Tompkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Havant's Adam Venables played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glyn Parslow in the 6th minute of play. Rowan Pye-Finch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Adam Venables tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Stoke Lodge Rovers's zone, Kristopher Deeney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ron Rusby came out of the goal and Kristopher Deeney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A throw-in in the 17th minute of the game was made by Albert Harrington with Brett Butterfield as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Kristopher Deeney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Havant's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristopher Deeney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ron Rusby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Glyn Parslow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Venables having to interfere. 33 minutes in the game Johnnie Faulkner did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Kristopher Deeney. Rowan Pye-Finch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Havant's Kristopher Deeney got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Albert Harrington in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Stoke Lodge Rovers's Glyn Parslow. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Glyn Parslow managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stoke Lodge Rovers's supporters rose to their feet, but Glyn Parslow was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Venables breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Kristopher Deeney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ron Rusby was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Kristopher Deeney capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kristopher Deeney really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Glyn Parslow was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Stoke Lodge Rovers getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. David Goodall hit a great ball. Stoke Lodge Rovers's Leigh Tompkins managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Johnnie Faulkner in the 56 minute of the game. Glyn Parslow fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 58th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Adam Venables made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Glyn Parslow sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Havant defense, Rowan Pye-Finch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adam Venables. The Havant fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adam Venables should have stopped the shot. Brett Butterfield fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 66th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. In the 70th minute, Kristopher Deeney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Leigh Tompkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Harrington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ron Rusby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristopher Deeney took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ron Rusby. Ron Rusby dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Albert Harrington made in the 88th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Stoke Lodge Rovers's Glyn Parslow. Glyn Parslow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glyn Parslow recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kristopher Deeney's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ron Rusby read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Havant players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
