Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5740, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jez Higson got the match started through his kick off. Jez Higson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brian Hurst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Sidney Timmins put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mark Theakston. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ted Jump in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mark Theakston saved Downham Market United from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Sidney Timmins got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Jump in the 19th minute of play forced Downham Market United's goalkeeper Mark Theakston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brian Hurst recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jez Higson fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Downham Market United's protests and gave Jez Higson a yellow card for diving instead. Jez Higson hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Ted Jump managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Christie Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ted Jump was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sidney Timmins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Theakston having to interfere. Mark Theakston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted Jump in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35thth minute of the game Billy Grayson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Downham Market United's Mark Theakston was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Christie Fc's Ted Jump in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Downham Market United's goalie prevented a goal. Sidney Timmins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mark Theakston having to make a save.

Mark Theakston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Timmins in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Sidney Timmins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Christie Fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 66th minute, Sidney Timmins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Ted Jump made a precise shot to the right of Mark Theakston. Downham Market United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After a rather tough play, Downham Market United's Stefan Marler got a free kick in the 76th minute. Mark Theakston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Jump, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ted Jump struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Mark Theakston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Christie Fc. 87 minutes into the match, Sidney Timmins notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Downham Market United's Mark Theakston. Mark Theakston was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Jez Higson came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Downham Market United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jez Higson couldn't finish the play. If Sidney Timmins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Christie Fc players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
