Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Timothy Atkins made the kick off which started today's match. In the 7th minute, Jez Glanvill ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon Brook was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Pierre Houghton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vince Digby. Sutton in Ashfield AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Leon Brook made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timothy Atkins in the 19th minute of play. Leon Brook showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timothy Atkins, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When Jez Glanvill came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Sutton in Ashfield AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jez Glanvill couldn't finish the play. Jez Glanvill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vince Digby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ed Osborn in the 30th minute of the match. Jez Glanvill in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leon Brook, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 38th minute Ronan Bennett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Brook saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Maylandsea got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Houghton. In the 44th minute of the match Sean Botham sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leon Brook skillfully saved the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ed Osborn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronan Bennett during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ed Osborn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Sutton in Ashfield AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ed Osborn came free, but Vince Digby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Ronan Bennett made a precise shot to the right of Leon Brook. Maylandsea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Leon Brook made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timothy Atkins in the 66th minute of play. Tommy Doughty kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Kristopher Fieldwick, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Ed Osborn came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Maylandsea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ed Osborn couldn't finish the play. Vince Digby made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Ed Osborn sent off a good shot on target. 74 minutes into the match, Sutton in Ashfield AFC's goalkeeper Vince Digby had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loyd Henry. The audience was convinced that Timothy Atkins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leon Brook was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronan Bennett in the 79th minute of play forced Maylandsea's goalkeeper Leon Brook to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Maylandsea booed when Sutton in Ashfield AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Doughty didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Loyd Henry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maylandsea's supporters rose to their feet, but Loyd Henry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vince Digby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ed Osborn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute, Jez Glanvill left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sutton in Ashfield AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. 89 minutes into the game, one of Maylandsea:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Max Ruddock placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! An unexpectedly hard shot by Jez Glanvill in the 93rd minute of play forced Maylandsea's goalkeeper Leon Brook to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maylandsea's Ed Osborn got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Loyd Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Sutton in Ashfield AFC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Tommy Doughty hit a great ball. 99 minutes into the match, Maylandsea's Loyd Henry sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vince Digby narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Sutton in Ashfield AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
