Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Colin Hough took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Portreath getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Thomas Noble hit a great ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Doug Beale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beckton United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doug Beale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Seth Bishop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Colin Hough in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Seth Simms saved Beckton United from getting behind. Colin Hough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Seth Simms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Doug Beale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beckton United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doug Beale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michael Thompson hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Frank Drury got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Seth Bishop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Beckton United's Doug Beale managed to work through Portreath's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Doug Beale dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Doug Beale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Buster Christie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 minutes of play, Beckton United's Seth Bishop made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Buster Christie was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Doug Beale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Seth Bishop made the kick off in the second half. Frank Drury sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeff Soussan charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeff Soussan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Beckton United's Jeff Soussan got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Buster Christie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doug Beale's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Seth Bishop's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Buster Christie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Doug Beale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buster Christie having to interfere. Doug Beale received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Buster Christie came out and tried to block the shot, but Doug Beale slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 60th minute. In the 63rd match minute, Beckton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Thompson to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Colin Hough in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Seth Simms prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Seth Bishop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Buster Christie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, Beckton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joey Louis to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colin Hough in the 75th minute of play forced Beckton United's goalkeeper Seth Simms to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Drury recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jude Downes charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jude Downes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jude Downes hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute of the match Barry Vaughan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Buster Christie skillfully saved the ball. If Frank Drury had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Seth Simms took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Drury, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beckton United's Seth Simms played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Drury in the 90th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Frank Drury made a precise shot to the right of Seth Simms. Beckton United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Beckton United players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
