In the 24th match minute, Liverpool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vic Trotter to maneuver through the defense. Ashley Hardcastle received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Denzil Claydon came out and tried to block the shot, but Ashley Hardcastle slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Craig Willetts in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Louis Laverick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Denzil Claydon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ashley Hardcastle in the 31st minute of play. Craig Willetts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 minutes, Harry Morgan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liverpool and the Reem Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes, Reem Team's Rich Godsall shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Denzil Claydon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Reem Team reached it. Phillip Brownlow might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Louis Laverick. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Phillip Brownlow ran back to his position shaking his head. When Harry Morgan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 44 minutes had been played. After 45 played minutes Liverpool got a freekick which was hit by Harry Morgan. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Phillip Brownlow to strike the kick off in the second half. If Phillip Brownlow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denzil Claydon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Hawke in the 56th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Liverpool's goal looked a bit too open when Ashley Hardcastle came free, but Denzil Claydon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool's zone, Marek Hawke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denzil Claydon came out of the goal and Marek Hawke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denzil Claydon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marek Hawke, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Marek Hawke scored 2-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denzil Claydon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute, Ashley Hardcastle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Liverpool getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Tyrone Leonard hit a great ball. If Ashley Hardcastle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marek Hawke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Denzil Claydon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Liverpool defense, Marek Hawke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denzil Claydon. The Liverpool fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denzil Claydon should have stopped the shot. In the 89th minute, Owen Boyd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute of the match Rich Godsall sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Denzil Claydon skillfully saved the ball. If Marek Hawke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Denzil Claydon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ashley Hardcastle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
