The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl Gascoigne during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. King Lion UXX F.C.'s Piers Penn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toby Woodhead in the 82nd minute of play. If Kasey Davis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. King Lion UXX F.C. played a much better game than Old Excelsiors FC and deserved their victory. The Old Excelsiors FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
