Tommy Wooding scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Piers Penn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the game, Garth Duxbury was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. King Lion UXX F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Storm FC the free kick. In the 14th match minute, King Lion UXX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garth Duxbury to maneuver through the defense. Rick Featherson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Brynn Styles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Tommy Wooding managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Storm FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommy Wooding was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kirk Weedon to strike the kick off in the second half. When Norman Nicholls came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the King Lion UXX F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norman Nicholls couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norman Nicholls during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Storm FC booed when King Lion UXX F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Wooding could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Piers Penn made a huge save. Jamie Gildea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brynn Styles in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, Storm FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grant Carr to maneuver through the defense. Norman Nicholls received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jamie Gildea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Storm FC's Jamie Gildea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brynn Styles in the 97th minute of play. The Storm FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Storm FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
